My skin is very sensitive, what are some good face wipes that you would recommend?

I’ve had more bad experiences with face wipes than I can count from ones that feel rough to ones that burn my skin and leave it red raw. Suffice to say, I’m not a big fan of face wipes as they are no where near as effective as a proper cleanser, but for days when I’m just too tired to cleanse my skin (or had a big night out) I believe face wipes can be a godsend. Over time I’ve tried many different face wipes from many different brands and I’ve come across some that I don’t actually hate…

*Burt’s Bees Sensitive Facial Cleansing Towelettes with Cotton Extract

Burt's Bees Sensitive Face Wipes

I tried Burt’s Bees Facial Cleansing Towlettes with White Tea Extract when they originally launched and I hated them, and I mean hated them. In my opinion they were the perfect example of what a face wipe should never, ever be. They burned my skin, they didn’t cleanse very well, they done a very poor job at removing makeup, they felt rough on the skin and the smell, oh the smell was so over powering. However, despite my bad experience with their original face wipes I will say that I LOVE their sensitive version. They don’t burn my skin (instead they actually feel quite soothing) they feel soft, they remove makeup and they cleanse skin well (plus they don’t smell awful)  Since trying them a while ago I’ve bought three packets (which means I must love the things) and even ended up trying the Exfoliating Facial Cleansing Towelettes (which I was scared of, but ended up loving, would recommend them for a gentle weekly exfoliation, but not for everyday use)

Essenzza Fuss Free Naturals Cleanse and Moisturise Natural Facial Cleansing Wipes

I’ve recently discovered this range of wipes and I must say I’m super impressed so far. These face wipes are super gentle on the skin and pretty effective too, they remove makeup well (although I would recommend using two wipes to ensure all traces of makeup are removed) and do a really great job at cleansing the skin after a long day. They don’t leave a burning sensation on the skin and don’t feel rough so all in all they get a thumbs up from me. I also recommend the Cleanse and Exfoliate wipes, they contain super gentle citrus and pineapple enzymes and despite being exfoliating don’t irritate or give a burning sensation at all.

Bioderma Sensibio H2O

Not face wipes, but just as easy to use. I’m a big fan of micellar cleansing waters because they’re effective yet gentle on the skin. To use you just place small amount onto a cotton pad and wipe over the skin as you would a face wipe and it lifts all makeup, dirts and oils off the skin, it’s actually scary how well they work. My favourite is *Bioderma Sensibio H2O, but if you’re on a budget the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water is just as effective.  I’d recommend a cleansing water over face wipes any day of the week.
