Back to the Basics: Brow Gel

A brow gel (eyebrow gel or eyebrow mascara) is a clear or tinted mascara like product designed to keep eyebrow hairs in place.

Brow gels are applied with a mascara wand (spoolie) and brushed over the brows to help shape them. They can be worn alone or over the top of a eyebrow pencil or powder.

Brow gels come in both tinted and clear versions, clear are universal and just serve the purpose of keeping eyebrows in place whilst tinted versions can help add more definition and the appearance of a thicker brow. Some brow gels contain fibers which grip to the brows making them look even thicker.

The purpose of a brow gel is to groom the eyebrows and keep them in place.
