Did you know the skin around your eyes is ten times thinner then your face? Fact. This means it is super important to take care of the skin around your eyes, especially since this is where the first signs of aging usually appear. No one wants crows feet, fine lines or crepey eyelids so prevention is the best cure.
If you’re one like me and have sensitive eyes that have a hard time getting on with mascara, eyeliner, eyeshadow and eye makeup remover don’t fear eye cream just yet as there are many great gentle and natural alternatives on the market.
Burt’s Bees Sensitive Eye Cream
This is a simple basic product and sometimes basic is best. It doesn’t boast hundreds of scientific claims or do revolutionary things, it’s a simple eye cream without bells and whistles. It’s gentle, it’s soothing, it’s hydrating, it reduces redness and doesn’t cause mila seeds and most importantly it doesn’t give your eyes a horrid burning sensation or make them feel itchy which means it’s a winner for sensitive eyes (TIP: If you have super dry patches with redness dab a little of this onto them and leave it overnight!)
*Jurlique Herbal Recovery Advanced Eye Serum
Although on the pricier side this has quickly become one of my favourite eye creams. It is a light serum which means it is fast absorbing and non-greasy unlike traditional eye creams which can often feel thick and make the eye area look puffy. This is lightweight, fast absorbing eye cream, which is gentle, doesn’t cause mila seeds and helps reduce the appearance of puffiness, fine lines and dark circles.
