When it comes to skincare, I’m a full-blown devotee of natural and organic skincare products, but in my opinion natural makeup still has a long way to go. In the past natural cosmetics that I’ve tried have lacked strong pigment and staying power and all in all, most have been a disappointment. However, lately brands have been getting better with their natural cosmetic offerings, case in point: Crop Natural.
When I first saw this product I was pretty confused at first, sculpting and perfecting were two words that puzzled me as the darkest shade looked too shimmery, light and warm to be used to contour. Turns out, it wasn’t designed for contouring. The silky, smooth “perfecting powder” is exactly up my alley and what I (someone with dry skin) look for in a powder. Think of this like a more affordable version of the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder, it gives incredibly similar results, has a small amount of fine shimmer to give radiance to the skin and helps correct redness and discolouration. On the other end, the “sculpting” powder is designed to be used as a highlighter and I’m not joking when I say it is one of my new favourites. This beautiful pearlescent powder is packed full of fine, light-reflecting shimmer that gives a gorgeous highlight to the skin.
