When it comes to skincare, I’m a full-blown devotee of natural and organic skincare products, but in my opinion natural makeup still has a long way to go. In the past natural cosmetics that I’ve tried have lacked strong pigment and staying power and all in all, most have been a disappointment. However, lately brands have been getting better with their natural cosmetic offerings, case in point: Crop Natural.

Crop Baked Sculpting + Perfecting Powder
When I first saw this product I was pretty confused at first, sculpting and perfecting were two words that puzzled me as the darkest shade looked too shimmery, light and warm to be used to contour. Turns out, it wasn’t designed for contouring. The silky, smooth “perfecting powder” is exactly up my alley and what I (someone with dry skin) look for in a powder. Think of this like a more affordable version of the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder, it gives incredibly similar results, has a small amount of fine shimmer to give radiance to the skin and helps correct redness and discolouration. On the other end, the “sculpting” powder is designed to be used as a highlighter and I’m not joking when I say it is one of my new favourites. This beautiful pearlescent powder is packed full of fine, light-reflecting shimmer that gives a gorgeous highlight to the skin.
Crop Nourishing Concealer Pencil
Pencils aren’t usually my first preference when it comes to concealer (I’m more of a liquid and cream girl) but this product may have changed that. This concealer stick has a soft, cream-like consistency which dries down to a matte, crease-proof finish. The stick portion means that it is super easy to conceal every imperfection from dark circles to pimples, redness and discolouration. Just “draw” the product where needed and blend out with your fingertips for perfect, seamless skin.
Eyebrows
are one of the most important parts of makeup, they frame your face and
help you look more polished. This brow pencil does just that. With
super high pigment there is no need to press down hard with the pencil,
just gently feather through the brows and brush though them with the
included brow brush. The super creamy texture combined with the high
pigmentation means you can get brow pomade style effects with a pencil.
Crop High Pigment Volumising Mascara
All too often mascaras don’t do much for the lashes other than make them look a little darker. I’ve tried so many mascaras (more than I can count) including every “award winning formula” so I know when something is good. This mascara was actually a real surprise, for something that is 90% Naturally Derived I wasn’t expecting much, but this actually beats out some of the top, high-end mascaras that I’ve tried. With ultra black pigments this mascara thickens the lashes and gives them great length and volume, it may not be false-lash worthy, but it is definitely a good mascara.
Crop Natural Tinted Lip Balm Pencil
One thing that I always love when it comes to makeup is a beautiful, sheer tinted lip balm, but what I don’t love is their poor staying power and tendency to bleed and feather. This product is a pencil/tinted lip balm/lipstick style hybrid and I can’t see why more brands haven’t adapted this style of product. The colour is pigmented enough so you can see it, but sheer enough that it isn’t a full-blown bold lip. Being a pencil means you get additional staying power and can get an easy, clean edge whilst the balm component keeps lips hydrated and moisturised.
