Brows are one of the most important steps in your makeup routine, they frame the face and help the rest of your makeup fall into place. Filling in your brows is a super popular way to define your brows, but even if you’ve got the right shade (ideally one shade darker than your hair colour for blonde hair and one shade lighter for dark hair) filling them in can make them look a little fake…
Brush Through Your Brows
One of the most simplest things you can do for your brows and one of the best. After filling in your brows simply take a clean spoolie and wiggle it through your eyebrows to soften any harsh lines and help blend the colour more evenly. It also helps to “brush” them upwards to help them look fuller and more natural.

Run Some Concealer Through Them
If you accidentally went a little overboard with your brow pencil or find that your brows either look too harsh, too dark or a touch too warm, concealer can be your secret weapon. Take a small amount of liquid concealer (that matches your skintone) onto a concealer brush and gently run it over your brows and then brush through with a spoolie, or take the concealer directly onto a spoolie and “wiggle” it through your brows
Skip The Brow Gel
Brow gels are great at keeping your brows into place and perfectly shaped, but they can also, at times make the brows look a little unnatural. If you have issues with your brows look unnatural, and/or overly filled in try skipping the brow gel completely. Although your brows may move around the place throughout the day it will help to give them more texture and appear more subtle. If you must reach for the brow gel try using a clear or very lightly tinted brow gel, letting it set for a bit and then brushing through your brows with a clean spoolie after. This way you will get some hold but also that lovely natural texture I talked about. (I love the Benefit 3D Brow Tones Gel)
