How to Effectively Double Cleanse Your Skin

Editorial Post.Cleansing the skin (or washing) is something we’ve been told to do since day one, but how many of us are double cleansing? Double cleansing is one of the most important things you can do for your skin if you’ve been wearing makeup throughout the day. You should cleanse once to remove makeup and then cleanse again to remove dirts, oils and dead skin-cells that have built up on your skin throughout the day.In my opinion the most effective method for double cleansing involves using an oil and then following up with a cleanser suited to your skin type. In which case I love the RosehipPLUS Rosehip Oil and RosehipPLUS Organic Daily Cream Cleanser (both are organic and gentle on the skin)
How to Use Rosehip Oil as a Cleanser

If you’ve been wearing a full face of makeup it’s important to first break-up your makeup, especially if you’ve been wearing waterproof products like mascara, eyeliner and lipstick. Oil is the most effective way to do so as it is gentle and can be massaged over the eyes without stinging, you can use a specific cleansing oil, but I actually like to just use a natural organic oil like RosehipPLUS Rosehip Oil (it‘s cold pressed meaning it is one of the purest  oils of its kind)

Step 1. Place a few drops (or pumps) of oil into your hands

Step 2. Massage the oil in-between your hands to warm it up

Step 3. Massage the oil over your face, eyes and lips in small circular motions to help dislodge any makeup

Step 4. Massage a small amount of warm water over your skin so that the oil forms into a milky cleanser, then press a warm muslin cloth onto your face and slowly wipe down.

How to Double Cleanse Your Skin

After you’ve removed the bulk of your makeup with an oil the next step is to use a face cleanser (I love RosehipPLUS Organic Daily Cream Cleanser) to help rid your skin of dirts and oils that have built up throughout the day.

Step 1. Take your cleanser and place a pea-sized amount into your hands

Step 2. Massage the cleanser in-between your hands

Step 3. Using small circular motions massage the cleanser over your face, eyes and lips

Step 4. Place a warm muslin cloth onto your skin and use small circular motions to remove the cleanser from our skin
