Illuminators are one of my favourite products, they can make skin look glowy and healthy and not to mention give you Victoria Secret looking cheekbones. If you want something a little more subtle, mixing a drop of illuminator in with your foundation can be a great way to brighten up your face and make your skin look healthy.
Stila All Over Shimmer Liquid Luminizer
These are some of my favourite illuminators and I honestly feel they don’t get enough hype. They contain really fine shimmer and give the most amazing glow to the skin. They’re perfect for mixing in with foundation because they’re so light and have a thin formula. There are three shades available, use Bronze for a summery, bronzed effect, Rose Gold to counteract a sallow skintone and my favourite shade, Kitten to give a moonlight glow to the skin.
Revlon PhotoReady Skin Lights Illuminators
Besides the fact that the packaging means these leak everywhere, they are a good product and my favourite drugstore illuminators. Like the Stila there are three shades available (a bronze, pink and a champagne) which can be used in the same ways. These do have more shimmer than Stila (and can sometimes appear glittery) but other than that they’re a good buy and the packaging means it is easy to mix it in with your foundation.
L’Oreal Lumi Magique Primer
This may be a primer, but it is fantastic for mixing in with foundation. It is a primer so mixing it in with your foundation can help make it last longer and the pump makes it an easy process.
