Generally speaking I prefer to spend my money on high pigment lipsticks, they can be applied directly from the tube for full colour pay off, with a brush for ultimate precision or with the fingertips for a subtle, stained effect. However, tinted lip balms still have their place in my makeup bag, they’re easy to apply and also make amazing cream blushes!
*Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balms
Although on the pricey side, these tinted lip balms are my favourite. They’re hydrating, give gorgeous colour and apply beautifully.
Maybelline Baby Lips
The formula of these vary across the hempispheres, but I’ve tried both and although they aren’t the best they’re good for the price. The Northern formula has a wide range of colours and the Southern formula have a “baby lips colour” range.
*Revlon Lip Butters
Whilst the shades are a hit & miss (creamsicle and brown sugar apply unevenly) these are great tinted lip balms. They give a hint of colour without looking OTT & can also be layered for full colour.
