Eyeshadow is one of my favourite makeup products, I love experimenting with different shades, textures, finishes and formulas so I’ve tried my fair share of eyeshadow singles, duos, quads and palettes by now and even though I love my high end palettes there are a few drugstore ones that are my favourites…
Wet N Wild Color Icon Eyeshadows
Easily taking the cake is Wet N Wild’s Color Icon Eyeshadow formula; these eyeshadows are buttery, smooth, creamy and apply super smoothly, they’re some of the most pigmented eyeshadows you will find on a drugstore level and the colour selection is endless. You can buy them in singles, trios, palettes and in matte, shimmer, glitter and metallic finishes. The matte shades can sometimes be a bit chalky and there is often shadow fallout with most of the shades but other than that, these babies are amazing (you can’t buy wet n wild on Australian shores but you can buy it online)
L’Oreal Infallible Eyeshadows
These are some of my favourite eyeshadows on a drugstore level, they’re a bit more expensive than other drugstore options but I can’t fault the formula of L’Oreal Infallible Eyeshadows, the formula is perfectly smooth, creamy, pigmented, blendable and long lasting. My only gripes are that there isn’t many matte shades available, they only come in singles and do leave fallout.
*Essence all about… Eyeshadow Palettes
I’m not a huge fan of Essence’s Mono Eyeshadows (many people love them but the formula just doesn’t do it for me!) but there’s something about the “all about…” eyeshadow palettes that Essence really got right. The shadows are buttery and have amazing pigmentation and most palettes contain a combination of shimmer, metallic and matte shades. These do have quite a bit of fallout but for the price you can’t really complain. (I especially love the nude palette)
