Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm Review

Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms 210 Unapologetic, 215 Shameless, 220 Showy, 225 Sultry, 230 Complex, 235 Mischievous, 240 Striking, 250 Standout

Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms are lipsticks of the “crayon” variety and one part of the three different Colorburst Balm formulas (the others are Lacquer and Just Bitten Kissable) These lipsticks are a hit/miss when it comes to pigmentation and evenness of application, some shades apply beautifully while others have some difficulty. Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms are (as the name suggests) Matte Lipsticks, these have a true matte finish so they can have a tendency to dry out the lips and accentuate the appearance of dry patches, the peppermint flavor may also irritate sensitive lips. In terms of staying power these are OK, they stand well through drinking but with eating they do require reapplication (like most lip products) I love that they are of a matte formula as most lip crayons are glossy and I think these come in some beautiful shades. Overall I think these are great if you want a matte lipstick on a drugstore level or a sort of 2 in 1 lipstick/liner product then these would be a fantastic option. Revlon Matte Colorburst Balm Stains launch in Australia on the 15th of March in Priceline stores as well as department stores and good pharmacies.

Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balm Swatches 210 Unapologetic, 215 Shameless, 220 Showy, 225 Sultry, 230 Complex, 235 Mischievous, 240 Striking, 250 Standout

210 Unapologetic, 215 Shameless, 220 Showy, 225 Sultry, 230 Complex, 235 Mischievous, 240 Striking, 250 Standout

210 Unapologetic is a gorgeous medium bright pink shade which would look flattering on all skintones (especially medium to dark skin)

215 Shameless is a cool toned violet shade which would suit all skintones (especially very fair and very dark skin)  This shade does have a tendency to apply unevenly.

220 Showy is a cool toned, medium barbie pink shade which would look best on lighter skintones.

225 Sultry is a dusty rose pink shade (very unique) that would flatter all skintones but would look best on lighter skintones.

230 Complex is a light peachy beige shade it would suit medium to dark skin best. This is my least favourite shade out of the range.

235 Mischievous is a pale coral shade, this shade would suit all skintones, especially very light and very dark skin.

240 Striking is a reddish blood orange shade that would suit all skintones. This shade was the most disappointing out of the range, it had the least pigmentation and applied very unevenly.

250 Standout is a cranberry red shade and possibly my favourite shade out of the range. This shade would suit all skintones.
