Highlighter, contour and blush are my favourite ways to sculpt the face and since I’m addicted to all these products I’ve managed to build up a few favourites over the years…
CONTOUR:
- Makeup Forever Flash Color Case (Shade 023 Brown)
If you’ve watched my contouring video you’ll know I’m a huge fan of this creamy formula; it blends beautifully into the skin and looks natural.
Benefit Hoola Bronzer
This is an amazing matte bronzer that blends beautifully, it is hard to stuff up your contouring with this product. (A good budget friendly option which is in my opinion almost identical to this product is the Essence Sun Club Matte Bronzing Powder)
BLUSH:
- Tarte Amazonian Clay Powder Blush
This is in my opinion the best powder blush I have tried, the hype is so worth it. This formula blends beautifully on the skin and doesn’t look dry, powdery or cakey. The colour pay off is perfect (not too pigmented, not too sheer)
- Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Cream Blush
Favourite cream blush, people often tend to overlook Elizabeth Arden as an “old nanna” brand but they shouldn’t. This cream blush has a dewy, creamy finish, “melts” into the skin, looks natural and is long lasting.
Possibly my favourite blush on a drugstore level, they are very similar to the Makeup Forever HD Blushes. They are extremely pigmented (a light hand is necessary on application) plus they are also long lasting and give a beautiful natural flush to the cheeks when applied & blended properly.
HIGHLIGHTER:
- Stila All Over Shimmer Liquid Luminizer

If you love Benefit High Beam you will LOVE this. In my opinion the formula is extremely similar (maybe a bit better) These have a great shade range and blend so beautifully.
I used to dislike powder highlighters as I found them chalky and unnatural, to this day this is my favourite powder highlighter, they look amazing on the skin have a beautiful sheen and are super budget friendly.
I also love the *Gorgeous Cosmetics Highlight/Blush Palette, The powders are absolute stellar quality, pigmented, soft, blend-able and long lasting. It comes with both highlighters and blushes. If you are a MUA I highly recommend picking this up for your kit.
