Holiday Eye Makeup for Hooded Eyes

Holiday Eye Makeup - Cut Crease
Holiday Eye Makeup Tutorial
When I think of the holiday season I think of glitter, and I think of lots of it. When I’m celebrating Christmas and the New Year I can’t get enough of glitter, so it only makes sense that I’m a huge fan of glittery eye makeup. This look suits all eye shapes (especially hooded eyes), colours and skin-tones, it is great for Christmas parties and New Years Eve.
Step 1: Start off with a makeup-free face (there will be a lot of fall out) and a clean eyelid prepped with eyeshadow primer (I love NARS Smduge Proof Eyeshadow Base) It is also a good idea tightline your eyes to ensure there are no gaps between your natural lashes.
Step 2: Using a creamy black kohl pencil (I used Rimmel London Soft Kohl Kajal Pencil in Black) draw an outline above your crease and create a “V” at the outer corner of your eye.
Step 3: Before the eyeliner sets take a small, dense smudging brush and gently “drag” out the eyeliner at the outer & inner corner of your eyes to soften the line.
Step 4: After you have softened the eyeliner; use a small precision eyeshadow brush to blend & buff out the eyeliner to create a soft eyeshadow effect.
Step 5: Using a small eyeshadow brush apply a tiny amount of a shimmery white eyeshadow in the inner corner of the eye. (I used *Essence Metal Glam Eyeshadow in n’ice frosting)
Step 6: Apply a shimmery silver shadow onto the eyelid using a flat eyeshadow brush, avoid applying the eyeshadow on top of the crease work (I used Urban Decay Eyeshadow Verve)
Step 7: Apply a sliver glitter on top of the shimmery silver eyeshadow, and press the glitter on to really build up the intensity. (I used Revlon Diamond Lust Eyeshadow in Celestial Silver)
Step 8: Take a small, dense eyeliner brush and wiggle a matte black eyeshadow in-between the lower lashes.
Step 9: Apply winged eyeliner as close as possible to the lashes with a precision eyeliner brush and gel eyeliner (a felt tip liquid liner won’t work for this as it will remove some of the glitter & eyeshadow) I used Essence Gel Eyeliner.
Step 10: Curl your eyelashes
Step 11: Apply two coats of a good mascara and if desired apply a set of full, black, volume false lashes(I used *Essence Lash Mania Reloaded Mascara)
Step 12: Take a precision cotton tip soaked in eye makeup remover and hold it at the outer corner of your eye and gently drag it upwards, this will create a clean, crisp line at the outer corner of your eye. Remove eyeshadow fall out with some makeup remover (and if necessary a little sticky tape) and apply concealer under the eyes.
