NARS Eyeshadow (from left to right) Namibia, Kamchatka, Bavaria, Yamal
NARS do some fantastic products but after my previous review and this review I’m beginning to think a little different. Don’t get me wrong I LOVE the eyeshadow base, the lipglosses, the bronzers and the Radiant concealer but so far the Fall 2013 line has greatly disappointed me. Since these products are NARS I expect fantastic results (especially since NARS is a pretty pricey brand) but these eyeshadows lacked on the pigmentation, application and wear front. In my opinion Wet N Wild eyeshadows are more pigmented and have a much nicer formula (these NARS eyeshadows are quite dry) I found these eyeshadows creased pretty quickly but when worn with the NARS eye primer they are extremely long wearing and have much nicer pigmentation. Overall I think these are disappointing products from NARS and I would not recommend them, especially for the price.
NARS Eyeshadow Swatches (from left to right) Namibia, Kamchatka, Bavaria, Yamal
Namibia is a light matte grey shade, it is great for a wash of colour on the lid. Not good for highlighting, contouring or lining.
Kamchatka is a smokey, deep, matte navy shade, great for contouring & lining the eyes.
Bavaria is a gorgeous shimmery ocean blue shade which is fantastic for use on the lid and as an eyeliner.
Yamal is a light, matte camel shade, it is the least pigmented out of the whole range but would suit green eyes beautifully and would be a good brow powder for people with extremely fair skin/eyebrows. This shade is Limited Edition.
