WORTH THE HYPE:
YSL Volupte Tint-In-Oil: I’d say that I have a confession to make, but by now you’ve probably
already heard it. I am prone to seriously dry lips. Seriously dry. Many
many years ago I had the displeasure of lips so dry they were flaking,
peeling, cracking and even bleeding, resulting in a trip to the doctors’
office. Although my dry lip condition has since improved, I’m still
prone to dryness… This is why I love lip oils.

One of the very first lip oils I tried was the YSL Volupté Tint in Oil and it’s still one of my favourites to this day.
Silky and smooth, this tinted lip oil makes
the lips look healthy, hydrated and full of juicy shine, but its thin
oil consistency means it isn’t sticky or goopy. It has just the right
amount of slip to it that it feels comfortable to wear and amazing to
rub your lips together whilst wearing, yet it doesn’t slide about all
over the place. The applicator allows for the perfect amount of product
to be dispensed over the lips and the pointed tip means you can get a
precision that is often lacked in glosses. The scent may be odd and
overpowering for some, but still resembles the typical YSL lip scent,
it’s not my personal favourite, but it doesn’t necessarily repulse me.

YSL Volupte Tint-In-Oil Swatch NO. 6
For a glossy type product, the pigment is good, although not an in your
face bold and opaque lip lacquer, it still adds colour to the lips and
makes a noticeable difference. You won’t have full colour that looks as
fresh as you applied it 4 hours later on in the day, but for the most
part the staying power is good. As the juicy shine wears off, the colour
remains through a subtle stain that accentuates the lips. Needless to
say, I’m a pretty big fan.
